Global ER&D: Accelerating Innovation with Indian Engineering
Overview
Date & Venue
4:30 pm To 8:30 pm, Tuesday, 27 July, 2010
Hall: Lotus, Hotel Le Royal Meridian, GST Road, St. Thomas Mount
Chennai,India
As the Indian ER&D services offshoring industry is ingraining deeply within the customer value chain, it is getting increasingly critical to augment its existing capabilities to engage in end-to-end product development initiatives in both traditional verticals (Aerospace, Automotive, Telecom, Semiconductors, Consumer Electronics and Construction/Heavy Machinery) and emerging verticals (Computing Systems, Energy, Infrastructure, Industrial Automation and Medical Devices). Globally offshorable revenues of these above 11 verticals are expected to reach between USD 90-100 billion out of which India would garner a 40 per cent share by 2020 equivalent to USD 40-45 billion from the current share of USD 7.9 billion
NASSCOM and Booz & Co have undertaken a comprehensive study on Engineering R & D opportunities landscape. The findings of the report address critical questions related to the sector including:
- Opportunities in the engineering services space
- Role of emerging markets
- Strengths of India beyond costs to become a preferred destination
- Identifying the newer verticals in the offing
- Understanding competition
- Imperatives and actions required to corner a larger global pie
NASSCOM is happy to announce the half day road show, which would feature sessions around the key highlights of the report. Global ER&D: Accelerating Innovation with Indian Engineering on July 27 at Chennai will provide a forum that will help in aligning businesses with strategies to overcome challenges related to organizational and technical capability, operational excellence and quality of work, for the players in the engineering services space.
Don't miss an opportunity to hear the experts talk on the challenges and competition; key verticals that would put engineering R&D to use and what is the five-fold vision that would help realize the growth potential.
