NASSCOM and members of the IT industry are shocked by the sudden demise of Mr. Sunil Mehta. NASSCOM and the entire industry express condolence to his family members and relatives.

 

Mr. Mehta was one of the greatly respected and recognized faces in the IT industry. He was a driving force towards the evolving IT industry, and in the 5 years spent at NASSCOM, he was greatly responsible for taking the industry to where it is today – both in India and internationally. He was also an active contributor towards the growth and outstanding success of NASSCOM. In addition to strengthening India’s leadership position globally, he played a key role in establishing India’s credibility amidst the backlash against outsourcing.

 

NASSCOM and the industry will fondly remember him as one of the finest leaders who made  immense contributions through the various roles he played, a genuinely wonderful human being with a great sense of humor and truly entrepreneurial, inspiring others around him to reach new heights. Mr. Mehta was based in Mumbai.

 

Let us pray for strength and fortitude for his family to face this colossal tragedy.
