In the backdrop of the much awaited Model GST Law being recently released for public consultation, we invite you to an interactive session to discuss the impact of the Law on the IT/ ITeS and E-commerce sectors.

The Model GST Law affirms a GST structure comprising of State GST, Central GST and Integrated GST and amongst others, provides for certain new definitions and concepts, outlines the mechanism for availment, utilisation, transfer and refund of input tax credit, provides for parameters for valuation of taxable supplies, prescribes rules for determination of place of supply of services as well as time of supply of services in addition to a host of administrative, appellate and transitional provisions. Importantly, the Model GST Law confirms the sector’s apprehensions around a frame-work of taxation that could significantly change the compliance landscape. The law also provides some clarity in the categorization and treatment of supply of intangibles including software.

The session is aimed at deliberating on key emerging issues as well as solicit your suggestions around addressing the same.
