Whistle Blowing A Tool For Enabling Better Governance And Controls

In today's global economic and political environment, newer complexities of doing business are emerging. These complexities also expose organisations to risks of fraud and non-compliance. Fast-paced growing businesses may not ensure control maturity continuum leading to increased risks on their shoulder. In recent times, companies have increasingly faced incidents of employee and third-party frauds in nature of conflict of interest issues, data theft, cybercrime, kickbacks, favouritism, falsification of claims and anti-corruption regulatory compliance issues. Governance, risk management and efforts to protect the reputation are key in handling these incidents more recently.

In that context, NASSCOM under the aegis of CEO Forum is organizing a whistle blowing session, we believe, is a key tool to listen to events that are currently not being observed within an organisation. We would like to invite you to a conversational roundtable to share, exchange and deliberate thoughts, ideas and approaches towards enabling better governance and controls through whistle blowing. This session aims at exploring aspects including key essentials to consider in developing or enhancing the whistle blowing mechanism and how whistle blowing trends can help in understanding the direction of issues emerging in your company.
