Dr. Menon is a global technology leader with over 25 years of software, hardware, internet, IT and telecommunications experience. Having completed his undergraduate studies in India, he spent 16 years in mature markets of the US and moved back to India nearly a decade back for innovating technology business models for large scale emerging markets in Asia and Africa.

Dr. Menon is currently the Director – Global Innovation & IT of Bharti Airtel across Asia and Africa. In addition, he is the Group CIO of Bharti Enterprises for all businesses including telecom, retail, financial services, tower-co, manufacturing/distribution, fresh/processed food products, software and training. He joined Bharti in August 2002 as Corporate Director (CIO), launched Airtel’s Enterprise Business as its Joint President in 2004, has led IT and Customer Service as its Director for Airtel India & South Asia and served as Group Director for Bharti Enterprises.

Before joining Bharti, he was Corporate Officer and Executive Vice President at AT&T (formerly BellSouth), USA where he managed a portfolio of growth businesses and strategic alliances. At AT&T, he also played the role of Chief Technology Officer (eCTO) for IT across all lines of businesses. Dr. Menon started his career at IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Labs, USA and rose to become an IBM executive where he assumed the office of Executive Director in IBM’s Software Group leading worldwide research-to-market business for rich media.

He has received several global and national recognitions, including Global CIO 50 (USA, 2009), Forbes Outsourcing Excellence Award (USA, 2007), GSMA Global Mobile Award (Barcelona, 2008), TechForum Global IT Award (USA, 2008), Telecom Asia Award (Hong Kong, 2009), IDC Asia-Pacific Enterprise Innovation Award (Singapore, 2009), Most Influential Technology Leader (India, 2009), NASSCOM-CNBC IT Award (India, 2008), CIO Hall of Fame Award (India, 2009), CIO 100 (several years - India, Singapore), NASSCOM National IT Innovation Award (from the Prime Minister of India, 2007), MIS Asia IT Awards (Singapore, 2006, 2005), best new software products at PC Expo (New York, 2000) and National Design Engineering Award (Chicago, 1995) and ASME Distinguished Engineering Awards (USA, 1996-98). He has been conferred the IIT-Delhi Distinguished Alumnus Award (India) in 2010.

He has authored over sixty international research publications, filed over thirty US patents, served on the editorial board of several international journals and has chaired several international conferences. He serves on the boards of several technology companies as well as global advisory boards of several technology companies/bodies including the TM Forum, Center for CIO Leadership (New York), GSMA Executive Management Committee, IBM Corporation, Oracle Corporation and Teradata. He is a member of IEEE, ASME, ACM, Phi Kappa Phi as well as committees in India’s leading industry bodies, including NASSCOM and CII.

Dr. Menon received his PhD (1992) and MS (1989) from Cornell University (USA), BTech (1986, first rank with IIT Medal) from IIT, Delhi (India). He has completed various executive management programs, including Harvard, Wharton (U Penn) and Sloan (MIT) School of Business.

Avinash Vashistha is country managing director and co-chairman for Accenture in India. In this role, he is responsible for all Accenture activities in India and for the strategic direction, growth and development of the company’s business in India.

Mr. Vashistha has more than two decades of operational and execution leadership in global outsourcing along with knowledge, relationships and experience with Indian and multi-national companies and the Indian marketplace.

Before joining Accenture in January 2011, Mr. Vashistha was chairman and CEO of Tholons, a global strategic advisory firm for outsourcing, research, investment and education serving Fortune 500 and Global 1000 clients. Earlier in his career, he founded neoIT, an offshore advisory firm, and prior to that, led Nortel’s pioneering outsourcing efforts in India, UK and US. He is a known thought leader in the industry and co-authored the book, “The Offshore Nation”.

Avinash holds an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, a master’s in Computer Science from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Arizona.
 

Arun Seth has been with BT in India for over 16 years. He helped establish BT as leading International Telecoms Player in India and has driven the IT/ BPO Global Sourcing programs for the BT Group in India last 7 years. Part of the AsiaPac Regional Executive team he is the Green Champion for BT Asia and drives CSR for BT.

Has been on the Executive Committee of NASSCOM for the last 8 years and was the Founder Chair of the NASSCOM BPO forum and focuses on GreenIT now.

Also on the board of TERI - he currently drives the joint Nasscom TERI SIG on Green IT.

On several boards like Dominos India, Globeop, Desi Crew (rural BPO) and Balmer Lawrie. Very active in the NGO sector – board of National Entrepreneur Network and Tie, Helpage India and Katha. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Kolkata, he is the co chair of the Pan IIT alumni India board. 

Chandrasekaran has over 25 years of experience in the global information technology industry. Currently, Chandrasekaran is the President and Managing Director of Cognizant, the fastest growing top-tier consulting, technology and business process outsourcing company, which is a part of the NASDAQ 100 and S&P 500 indices, and the Fortune 1000 list. His experience spans key functions such as corporate strategy, customer relationship management, business development and operations management.

Chandrasekaran has been associated with Cognizant since its founding in 1994, propelling its growth into a global delivery organization, spearheading newer solutions and championing crucial process initiatives. As an Executive Officer at Cognizant, he drives the Company’s global delivery management, capacity growth and process initiatives, proactively nurturing key alliances and leveraging business partnerships.

Prior to joining Cognizant, Chandrasekaran worked with Tata Consultancy Services, and was responsible for setting up its offices across the US and Europe.

Chandra has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the reputable Regional Engineering College in Trichy, India, and an MBA from the premier Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, India.

Ms. Roopa Kudva is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CRISIL, a global analytical company providing ratings, research, and risk and policy advisory services, and a subsidiary of Standard & Poor's. She is Region Head, South Asia, Standard & Poor’s, the foremost global provider of financial market intelligence. She is a member of Standard &

Poor’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

Ms. Kudva was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CRISIL in 2007. CRISIL has evolved under her leadership into a diversified analytical platform with a global client base and delivery footprint, while remaining the undisputed thought leader in all its segments. Over the three years that she has been CEO, CRISIL’s profits have doubled, its customer base has grown from 1,000 to 20,000, and its reach has expanded from 9 Indian cities to 150, while its international operations now cover more than 30 countries across the globe. During her tenure, CRISIL has pioneered the rating of mid-sized and small Indian companies, and the publication of independent equity research in India, and has ramped up rapidly in these segments.

Earlier, Ms. Kudva led CRISIL’s ratings business, and set up CRISIL’s Global Analytical Centre, which carries out high-end analytical work for Standard & Poor’s and McGraw-Hill Financial. Ms. Kudva joined CRISIL in 1992, and has more than two decades of creditrelated experience across sectors, including a secondment to Standard & Poor’s, Paris, as

Director, Financial Institutions Ratings.

Ms Kudva regularly features in lists of the most powerful women in Indian business compiled by prominent Indian publications, including The Times of India and Business Today. She is a member of several policy-level committees relating to the Indian financial system, including committees of the Securities and Exchange Board of India. Ms. Kudva holds a degree in statistics, and a postgraduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Ganesh Lakshminarayanan is President of Dell India as well as Managing Director, Dell International Services (DIS) and Vice President of Global CSMB Services.  While he leads the Dell contact centers business in his latter role, his primary focus as the President for Dell India is to coordinate the global strategy with local needs by bringing together the diverse functions and business units in a single, cohesive fashion.  He is also responsible for driving strategies to creating a single Dell brand in India and facilitate Dell employees to fulfill the company’s purpose - to offer technology that helps people everywhere to grow and thrive. Ganesh joined Dell in 1999 and has held increasing responsibilities in various geographies, functions, and segments within Dell. Ganesh has an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India.

Rajan Anandan is Vice President for India Sales and Operations for Google. In this role, he leads Google India, bringing with him an impressive pedigree of hi-tech and leadership expertise, as well as degrees from Stanford and MIT. His 18-year career includes key roles at Microsoft, Dell and McKinsey & Company.

Most recently Rajan was MD of Microsoft India, responsible for all aspects of Microsoft’s software, OEM and services business in India. Under his leadership, Microsoft India was recognized as the Number 1 subsidiary among the emerging markets worldwide (China, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, South Africa and India). Prior to joining Microsoft, Rajan was the Vice President and Country General Manager of Dell in India where he grew the Dell business from

$250 million to over $800 million and several leadership roles including being the Executive

Assistant to Chairman Michael Dell. Before that, he was a Partner with McKinsey & Company in Chicago. He holds an MSc from Stanford and a BSc from MIT.

Mr. Malhotra serves as Chairman of Headstrong’s Board of Directors.  Prior to Headstrong he was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of TechSpan, which merged with Headstrong in October 2003.

A pioneer of the Indian IT industry, Mr. Malhotra founded TechSpan in 1998 with funding from Goldman Sachs and Walden International.  The merger of TechSpan with Headstrong has built an end-to-end services organization.  Mr. Malhotra led the seamless integration across businesses and cultures, resulting in Headstrong’s recognition as one of the fastest-growing IT-based Financial Services companies.

Mr. Malhotra has a long string of entrepreneurial successes.  He co-founded the HCL group in 1975, taking it from a six-person “garage operation” to one of India’s largest Information Technology corporations.

Mr. Malhotra studied at The Doon School, Dehradun, and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.  He graduated from IIT with B.Tech. (Hons.) in Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering and received the Dr. B.C. Roy Gold Medal.  In 1985, he attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He was awarded the Albert Einstein Technology Medal for 2001.

Mr. Malhotra founded the Prof. G.S. Sanyal School of Telecommunications at IIT Kharagpur through his personal endowment. He is also founding members of SPIC-MACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth)

Mr. Malhotra is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) He is currently serving as a member of the Global Board of Trustees, having previously served as the Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Malhotra is currently a member of the Executive Council of NASSCOM.

Neelam Dhawan is the Managing Director of Hewlett-Packard India. She has countrywide responsibility for revenues and profitability and ensuring the greatest leverage from HP’s Services, Personal Systems and Imaging & Printing businesses.
With a portfolio that extends to offshore activities, BPO, Software Engineering, Research and IT Services, Neelam is focused on shaping the company’s overall business agenda and leading its strategy and corporate development efforts to make HP the most admired company in India.

Previously, Neelam held a variety of successful leadership positions in leading Indian IT companies, including Microsoft India, HCL and IBM. Neelam holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, and a Masters in Business Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.

Rajesh Nambiar is the General Manager of Service Integration Hub – East for the IBM Corporation.

As a leader of the Services Integration Hub – East, Rajesh is responsible for enhancing the level of integration across the services business for IBM, evolving the next generation of globally integrated capability, and ensuring client value delivery across the client engagement lifecycle.  Rajesh also focuses on delivery capability and talent development across Asia Pacific encompassing India, China, Philippines and Vietnam delivery centers.

Rajesh is on the board of IBM India, and is part of the IBM Chairman’s Integration and Values team, and a member of the Board of Governors of the IBM Academy of Technology.  Rajesh is a member of NASSCOM Executive Council.

Prior to joining IBM, Rajesh was with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for over 18 years and was responsible for TCS’ business for the Eastern region in the United States, driving sales and delivery targets for the company.

Rajesh has a master’s degree in Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute and completed the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School.

Srinath Batni joined Infosys in the year June 1992 as Project Manager for various projects. He has served as Senior Vice President and Head - Retail and Telecommunications Strategic Business Unit of Infosys since 1996.

He was inducted as a member of the Board of Directors of Infosys in May 2000. He is at present, responsible for the Customer Delivery for the Asia Pacific, Greater China regions,  PLES Group and for projects under Resource Energy and Utility sector.  He is also a Director on the Board of Infosys Technologies (Shanghai) Ltd and Infosys Australia Pty Ltd.,

Prior to joining Infosys in 1992, he was a Project Manager - Technical Support for a French subsidiary in India since 1990.

He was responsible for implementing production management and materials management systems at one of the leading Public Sector Heavy Engineering and Manufacturing unit for almost a decade since 1980.

Srinath received a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mysore University in the year 1975 and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in the year 1979.

Apart, from this, he is the member of Infosys Foundation trust and Employees welfare trust.

Deep Kalra established MakeMyTrip.com, the online travel company that revolutionized the way people buy travel in India. MakeMyTrip is the largest OTA agency in India and also one of the largest travel companies in the country.

The company achieved sales of INR 2200 crores in the fiscal ending March 2010 and continues to grow rapidly at over 50% in the current year. In August 2010, MakeMyTrip had a highly successful IPO at NASDAQ.

Earlier in 2010, MakeMyTrip was ranked 2nd from among 400 Indian companies in the 2010 ‘Great Places to Work’ Survey.

Krishnakumar Natarajan (KK) is the CEO and Managing Director of MindTree. In this capacity, he has the overall responsibility of both the IT Services and the R&D services businesses of the organization. 

In the early years of MindTree, KK moved to the U.S. to launch its operations in the region and was instrumental in acquiring some of the early customers for the organization. He then drove MindTree’s expansion into Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Australia.

Prior to co-founding MindTree, KK was Chief Executive of the Electronic Commerce & Financial Solutions Division at Wipro, and held several other key positions in the same organization from 1982 until 1999.  During the growth phase of Wipro’s software business, KK started and grew the e-commerce division of Wipro, developing a team of 300 people and generating $30 million in revenues annually. Earlier, while serving as Group Vice President of human resources, KK increased the number of employees in Wipro’s software services business from 800 to over 4,000 people. 

KK earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, Madras, India, and a Master’s in Business Administration majoring in marketing and systems from the Xavier Institute, Jamshedpur, India.  Golf and travel rank high among his interests.

Sharad Sharma is the Chairman of Movico Technologies. He is also on the Board of several other companies and is an active member of Indian Angel Network. His 25 years of experience involves a turnaround (of VERITAS India ops), a startup (now part of Cisco), and an intrapreneurial setup of AT&T/Lucent’s R&D in India. He has held a number of senior executive positions with leading technology companies. Most recently he was a SVP at Yahoo! and CEO of India R&D. He is passionate about cloud computing and its potential to create software product winners out of India.

Mr. Rajendra S Pawar is a member on the Prime Minister’s National Council on Skill Development; has served on the Prime Minister’s National Task Force (1998) commissioned to develop India into an IT Superpower; is an Advisor to the Hunan Province of China; has been an Advisor to President Mbeki of South Africa.

As President of MAIT (1990-92), he integrated MAIT activities into those of other leading industry associations. MAIT played an active role in shaping the IT policies of the Government during this formative phase.

Mr. Pawar serves on the Governing Boards of IIT Delhi, IIM Bangalore, ISB Hyderabad, The Scindia School and the University Court of Delhi University.

A Fellow of CSI and IETE, he was honoured as “IT Man of the Year” by Dataquest (1998), “Master Entrepreneur of the year” by Ernst & Young (1999), Distinguished Alumnus of IIT Delhi (1995) and Madhav Awardee of The Scindia School (1999).

He is being honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2011.

Anand Deshpande is the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Persistent Systems, a Company that he founded in 1990.  Anand has a B. Tech (1984) in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, a Masters (1986) and a Ph.D. (1989) in Computer Science from Indiana University, Bloomington (USA).

Anand worked as MTS at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in Palo Alto, California f srom 1989 to 1990. At Persistent, he is responsible for overall leadership and management of the company and drives the sales and technology efforts.

Anand is the co-chair for Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) India Council, serves on the EC of MCCIA, on the Dean’s Advisory Council of the School of Informatics of Indiana University. In the past, Anand was on the EC of NASSCOM from 2005-09, President of SEAP 2005-07 and Chairman of the Pune Chapter of CSI from 2003-05 and is the Chairman of CII, Pune Zonal Council 2008-09.

Raman has played a pivotal role over the last 16 years in promoting Indian BPOs and proving that India can be a preferred location for Remote Processing. He is deeply involved in shaping the future of the BPO industry in India, Mauritius and other geographies. He has participated in creating 35,000+ jobs in India and enabling the employment of over 700,000+ people.

Raman has very hands-on approach to business and rare insights into servicing markets as diverse as North America, Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Management Accountant with a doctorate in Management Accountancy.

Gurnani (CP to his colleagues) is the CEO of Mahindra Satyam. Prior to moving to Mahindra Satyam, CP headed Tech Mahindra’s Global Operations, Sales and Marketing functions, and led the development of Tech Mahindra’s Competency & Solution units. CP’s inimitable style of leadership combined with his sharp focus on customer experience has helped Tech Mahindra to emerge as one of the leading providers of IT Services and Telecom Solutions to the global telecom ecosystem.

CP has extensive experience in building international business, start-ups, turnarounds, joint ventures and mergers & acquisitions. In a career spanning over 28 years, he has held several leading positions with HCL Hewlett Packard Limited, Perot Systems (India) Limited and HCL Corporation Ltd. Prior to joining Tech Mahindra, CP was the Chief Operating Officer and a co-founder of Perot Systems (India) Limited, initially set up as HCL Perot Systems. At HCL Perot Systems, CP orchestrated the HCL Corporation and Perot Systems joint venture from its inception to making it one of India’s top IT services companies.

CP received a chemical engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. He serves on the boards of CanvasM, Tech Mahindra (Thailand) Limited, Tech Mahindra (Beijing) IT Services Limited, Mahindra Logisoft and Tennenbaum Institute in Georgia Institute of Technology among others.

CP takes keen interest in community work and was nominated by Ernst & Young for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2007

Natarajan Chandrasekaran (“Chandra”) is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of the company since October 2009.

Responsible for formulating and executing the company's global strategy, Chandra has been at helm of several key strategic transitions at TCS since 2002 when he took over the role as head of global sales. In his previous role as Chief Operating Officer, he was the architect of the new organization structure unveiled in 2008 which created multiple agile business units focused on domains and markets as well as built strategic business units in order to pursue new initiatives with the ability to invest, develop and mature new ideas.

Under his leadership, TCS has pioneered the creation of its unique Global Network Delivery Model (GNDM™) across five continents and ventured into new markets including Europe, China and Latin America. It added new business lines like BPO, Infrastructure and Assurance services.

Chandra was voted as the best CEO of India, (2010) by Finance Asia magazine’s annual poll of investors and analysts. Chandra represents TCS on several global and local forums.

VK Mathews is the Executive Chairman of The IBS Group, a multinational conglomeration with over 2000 employees operating from 10 locations worldwide. IBS competes with the best and largest companies in the IT product and services space across the Travel, Transportation and Logistics industry and has as customers some of the world’s best airlines, busiest airports, leading cruise lines, top oil & gas companies, travel distributors & hotel groups. Over the past 8 years, the IBS group has acquired five global companies.

Mathews is a thought leader in the global aviation industry and is a sought-after speaker at various international events. He holds several important posts in Government agencies, academic institutions and trade bodies in India. He is currently the Vice Chairman of CII, Kerala State Council and the Chairman of GTECH, the Association of IT companies in Kerala.

Mathews is a recipient of a number of awards from the Government, media and trade associations including management leadership award, IT man of the year award, millennium leadership award and enterprise excellence award.

Beyond business, Mathews has a keen interest in social development and education, and has set up CANDLE, (acronym for Care and Love) an initiative that helps provide education and healthcare to under-privileged children. His other interests include reading, especially books on business leadership and management, travelling and music.

Mr. Mathews holds a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and has completed management studies from the Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

T K Kurien (TK) is the Chief Executive Officer of IT Business and Executive Director, Wipro Limited. TK is also a member of the Wipro Corporate Executive Council. With over 27 years of global diversified experience, which includes the 10-years he has been with Wipro, TK has been instrumental in building and scaling many of Wipro's businesses successfully. He has a track record for customer centricity, passion for excellence and rigor in execution. He has proven to be a transformational leader and has been instrumental in turning around the various businesses that he has spearheaded within Wipro including the BPO, Media, Telecom and Consulting businesses. TK is also credited with building global leadership for some of Wipro's business units he led across the world.
