Overview

To promote innovation within Indian IT-BPO organizations, especially the energetic and proactive emerging companies, NASSCOM has been spearheading a special initiative. Designed to recognize companies that have made innovation a part of their organizational DNA, and used the innovation engine to reinvent their processes, marketing and product development strategies, NASSCOM's Innovation Awards have been a first for the IT-BPO sector.
These Awards were introduced for the first time in 2004 and unfailingly, we’ve been having the ceremony for the past 7 years – 2011, being the 7th in line. This edition, also witnessed a change in our Knowledge Partner – as AT Kearney took over the role. We received more than 300 applications from 190 companies in 4 Categories, from which 8 finalists were shortlisted to present at the jury round in Bangalore (20th Jan) and Mumbai (25th Jan). The final set of winners & runners up were selected by the jury, based on the presentations made on these days. While the Bangalore round was about Product Category: New Technology Advancement & Start ups, the Mumbai round was Process: Market Facing & Process Innovation.
