Under the aegis of the NASSCOM Quality Forum, it’s our pleasure to invite you to be a part of the second session on “IT Governance and Information Security” at Hyderabad.
It can be argued that information is an organization’s most important asset and with increasing levels of reliance, it is paramount that information is appropriately protected. Although governance and security programs are discussed in our industry, not many organizations or security professionals fully understand all that is involved with each and the relationship between these two concepts.
It is not enough to have some security policies and then just concentrate on securing your network. To integrate security within business processes, an organization needs to have a robust information security program that maps to its business drivers, legal and regulatory requirements, and threat profile. The following series provides an introduction to what information security governance and a security program are and how to get them deployed within any environment.
Participants will take away a comprehensive understanding of the best practices that are followed by successful practitioners.

Srinivas Kishan Anapu is a senior IT Executive and an experienced business leader with significant experience across a broad spectrum of IT leadership functions. Played a multitude of roles including Internal IT Head, Software Delivery Head, Customer Relationship Management, Operational Excellence Head and an Entrepreneur. As a delivery head for 4 verticals in Wipro, he managed revenues of upto USD $225Mn, 75+ customers and 4500+ people with overall delivery responsibility and consistently over achieving targets for delivery, quality, operations, business development, people management, knowledge management and customer satisfaction. As a IT Head in Mahindra Satyam, he was deeply involved for the formulation and execution of IT strategy for the internal IT needs of the customers. Key focus areas include but not limited to IT governance, business agility through IT and business alignment to IT, Enterprise Reporting, Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Risk, Security and IDM.
Featured in the CIO Magazine in September 2009 as one of the 100 most influential CIOs in India. Selected by an eminent jury and the award was presented by Kiran Karnik Ex Chairman of NASSCOM.

Ravi Piduri has been leading “Information Security” practice incubated in GD in FY12. The practice will play a key role in completing end to end story of Microsoft Services by delivering solutions to customers across the globe which take care of security and privacy aspects. Ravi is also accountable for driving the innovative information security focus areas across GD.
Ravi brings to the role more than 16 years’ experience running delivery organizations focused on product development, services, security and technology innovation.
Shan is pursuing his core passion to be an entrepreneur in information security services, consulting and solutions post spending valuable time in Microsoft & IBM in security spaces. He recently realized his entrepreneurial dream by incorporating Fix Nix India Pvt Limited. [http://fixRnix.in]
His first major assignment is to help E-commerce startup, Reasoning Global to set up their information security function. He’s based out of Hyderabad. He has many endorsements, accomplishments in honor for his service to the project management & information security community in his past organizations. With more than 10 years of global management experience including experience in General Management and Security Architecture across Motorola, Microsoft & IBM.
V J Srinivas is the Lead – Compliance, ISMS & BCMS, Audits & Assessments. Srinivas has more than 18 of professional experience, of which 8+ years in Business Continuity and Information Security area. Srinivas is specialized in the implementation of ISO 22301 Standard. In Mahindra Satyam, Srinivas is the Senior Consultant for ISMS and BCMS processes which includes implementation of Information Security and Business Continuity at an Organization level and provide necessary guidance to the various Business Units and Support functions in maintaining an effective BCM process.
Gopalakrishnan Subramanian (Gopal) heads the Risk Management practice at Virtusa. He plays a key role in establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy and program on Risk management practices at Virtusa. Gopal is accountable for ensuring compliance to information security, privacy and business continuity requirements for our clients across the globe.
Gopal brings in more than 20 years of experience and has worked with organizations such as, Standard Chartered, HSBC before joining Virtusa.
Some of his key accomplishments include:
- Consulting assignments in Risk Management, Information Security, Data Privacy, Business continuity with key clients across the globe
- He has helped establish Enterprise Risk Management practices (ERM) in large enterprises which include achieving compliance with regulations, particularly governance and oversight.
Sumanth Madimsetty joined Memco Software, the original company that developed Access Control, in 1996 and was part of the acquisition to CA in 1999 through Platinum Technologies. Sumanth has represented CA Access Control as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) in many CA North American National teams, primarily focusing on Technical Sales, Solution Strategy and Solution Architecture. At the technical level, he has owned, managed and helped close large sales opportunities relating to CA Access Control and other IAM solutions across North America.
During his tenure at CA, Sumanth has worked closely with the Development, Tech Support, Product Management, Marketing, Education and Partner teams at CA and is extremely conversant and knowledgeable in his field of expertise. Sumanth has spoken at several trade shows including CA World, Linux World and RSA where he showcases CA security technology to potential customers and partners.
After a very successful tenure in CA North America, Sumanth has relocated to Hyderabad in 2010 to work in Product Management, where his experience and knowledge with CA security solutions have helped drive future growth and opportunities.
Sumanth has now taken on this new role as a Solution Sales Leader, managing the security business for India, where he feels there is ample potential for growth.
Sumanth has a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Toledo, Ohio and is also CISSP certified.
