Overview
The IT-BPO industry in India has become one of the most significant growth catalysts for the economy, contributing nearly 7.5 per cent to the national GDP in FY2012. It also provides direct employment to over 2.8 million people. This has led to some highly mature and innovative HR practices to overcome various human capital challenges. To recognise this continuous commitment, NASSCOM, along with Mercer as knowledge partner, is launching its second NExT Practices Awards 2012.

Eligibility Criteria
- NASSCOM members and non-members
- Firms offering IT services, BPO/ Knowledge Services (KPO), Software products, Engineering & Embedded services (ER&D) and Offshore product development services
- Indian companies, MNC captives and MNC third-party players with operations in India; catering to both domestic and export markets
- No participation fee
Evaluation Process
- Phase 1: Companies must prepare their nominations and send them to NASSCOM
- Phase 2: NASSCOM and Mercer will follow up with companies to close any data gaps and collect additional clarifications, as required. Post this, an initial set of companies will be shortlisted based on the completed nomination forms. Shortlisted companies will be informed by 3rd week of June
- Phase 3: Shortlisted companies will be asked to present their nominations to an independent jury, along with Q&A. The jury will select the winners in each category based on the presentations made
- Phase 4: The winners will be announced at NASSCOM’s HR Summit 2012, to be held in Chennai during July 25-26, 2012
