It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the SC7 Interim 2011 on behalf of the NASSCOM. I am glad that NASSCOM could be a part of this global endeavour in hosting you once again. As you may recall, we had organized SC 7 Plenary in 2009 at Hyderabad.
Members of SC7 India Mirror Committee have played a vital role in organizing this meeting, together with the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) and I take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank them.
NASSCOM activities are centred on catalyzing the growth of the Indian software industry and enabling the fulfilment of its future goals and aspirations. NASSCOM is not only the face of the country’s software industry; it is also a key arm. NASSCOM’s activities revolve around building the India brand software, database creation, events, maintaining high quality, member services, domestic IT, partnership with government, promoting interests and research. NASSCOM is a global trade body with over 1300 members, including 250 which are global companies from the US, UK, EU and Asia. NASSCOM's member companies are in the business of IT services, BPO, Engineering Services, Products, Animation and Gaming and Internet services.
We hope you enjoy your stay at Mumbai and have a successful interim.
