SEZ Policies : Implications on IT- BPO industry

Overview

We invite you to a session with the experts from PWC on SEZ policies, clarification and its implications faced by the IT – BPO companies in India.

The SEZ policy has suffered through policy flip-flop and roll-back of certain fiscal incentives over the years. Stakeholders and investors alike are often confused why there exists divergence between the SEZ policy and related fiscal policies. Coupled with socio-political overtones in land related issues, the SEZ regime has lost considerable sheen.

Policy makers continue to attempt remedial measures to achieve intended objectives. In this backdrop, it is worthwhile to understand the SEZ regulations and the Income-tax provisions and the disparity leading to denial of intended fiscal benefits.

The session would throw light on the differing interpretations and the need for aligning the legislations to achieve the intended objectives.

To gain a better understanding of the above , we look forward to your active participation.
