User Interfaces are all around us. One thing that differentiates the good from the great today, is undoubtedly the User Experience (UX). Today, it's no more just about the interface but interfaces that delight. User Experience drives delight. So, what does it take to create delight and how does one go about doing so? Understanding the Visceral, Behavioural and Reflective (Emotional) aspects of design creation process is key to designing better User Experiences. How does one adopt the tools and process of UX into the Product Development Process? What are the key things that the Product Manager and leader need to keep in mind?
A good mock-up convinces a stakeholder better than a functional specifications document. To create better mock-ups and visual prototypes, which help in the final Product Labs assignment and any other product that you work on, having a good experience with prototyping is a must. Prototyping allows one to quickly and inexpensively explore multiple iterations of designs, test their performance, and craft even better user experiences for websites and applications. This course will help you decide which prototyping works best for you and your team and also pick up a few tips for yourself.
Some of the key take away are:
- UX Design Overview
- Product Development and UX
- Agile UX and Lean UX
- Understanding Task Flows and Information Architecture
- Gestalt's Law in User Interface Design
- Usability Audit
- Prototyping the User Experience
The session will be divided into two parts. The first half of the day will build the case and argument for better User Experiences and post lunch we will explore the world of prototyping with hand on sessions. We would greatly appreciate your presence and participation for this session.
