Shyam Sekar is the Chief Mentor and Chief Growth Officer with Startup Xperts, which is a Business and Growth Consulting firm aimed at supporting Startups and SMEs in India and abroad.  Startup Xperts has been featured under the ‘Emerging Company of the Year’ category, in the Silicon India Entrepreneur Year Book 2014.

Shyam is a catalyst leader who brings with him over 20 years of experience in the field of IT -BPO.  He is a business professional, worked with many large multinationals and also startup companies, in the past.  Built successful enterprises by exponentially increasing their revenues as their Global Head by providing thought leadership, driving business strategy, digital marketing, sales, business development, operations, and negotiating strategic alliances/partnerships.  Shyam has traveled across 25 countries on business; has brought in best practices, championed innovative initiatives, blended cross-country cultures, and built high impact, high performance teams. He was based in New Jersey and Michigan, USA, before coming back to India in 2012.

Shyam has an Engineering degree from NIT (REC) Jaipur and a Master’s in Business Administration.  He successfully completed an Executive management program on Negotiations and Competitive decision making, from Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

He is also a mentor with Startup Weekend, a Seattle based entrepreneurial incubation support entity; he also acts as an advisor and mentor with Delhi-based, SMB Connect’s Startup Connection.  Besides he writes cover stories, columns, in the popular ‘Small Enterprise’ Entrepreneur Business Magazine, which is widely read across India.
