A report by NASSCOM and Bain in 2017 elaborated on the GCCs' unfulfilled promise of digital. The report indicated that while 70% of the companies surveyed had devised a digital strategy for themselves, only 10% of them had complemented it with a full deployment plan in hand.

Add to this, an HQ mandate that requires most GCCs to execute a global digital strategy rather than craft a customized one for them and, suited to their particular challenges.
