Talent Initiative Event

Future Skill - A reskilling and Upskilling Initiative: Availability of digital talent will determine success and growth for the IT-ITeS industry in the digital era. Given this, talent development is one of NASSCOM's top 3 strategic goals. As NASSCOM, we are committed to Reskill and Upskill India's workforce to ensure TALENT is Future Ready in terms of New Age Skills and Jobs and to make India a global hub for Digital Talent. Given this background, FutureSkills was launched in 2018 as an industry-led response to quickly adapt to the changing job environment driven by technological shifts and changing stakeholder expectations. With NASSCOM as the enabler, FutureSkills portal that uses the technology of the future, was developed to create a space where a learner can access content on all the skills of the future. The portal enables a learner to seamlessly access free and paid content, assessments, virtual labs and get certified on the skills of their choice across 10 emerging technologies & professional skills.”

Join us on the 28th February 2020 to know more about this initiative which is highly crucial to the IT-ITes Industry.

Apprenticeship and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Girish Kulkarni: Apprenticeship is one of the most significant solutions addressing the issue of existing skill gap in the IT-ITeS Industry. Engaging apprentices is an ideal way to judge fitment of a new employee. We work with you to select an apprenticeship model that is most suited to your organization. The government is encouraging companies to take on apprentices and we can help you understand and access the incentives schemes available from the government, should you wish to avail them.

RPL helps you benchmark skills, knowledge and experience of existing employees with the nationally recognized competency standards . At no cost, you can offer your experienced workforce an opportunity to get a government recognised certificate and gives you the flexibility to test for organizations internal parameters after going through an assessment that we will work with you to customise.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Overview of Apprenticeship & Recognition of Prior Learning program for adoption
  • Freedom to select the right Apprenticeship Model for business growth
  • Effort required to integrate Apprenticeship with organizations talent strategy.
  • RPL to help benchmark employee capabilities across all Job roles.
  • Processes, Pre-work required to implement RPL within the Learning & Development of the organization.
