With the rapid proliferation of IoT Devices and solutions, there are new opportunities that hackers have towards launching cyber-attacks. The IoT landscape is itself under constant evolution. On one end, IoT solutions are being developed across verticals, ranging from connected cars to smart homes to fitness and medical solutions. On the other hand, architecture evolutions in the IoT space are leading to solutions wherein IoT devices can directly communicate with each other, in a P2P/M2M kind of a model, moving away from more centralized server based architectures. As such, focus on security of the IoT Device gains prime importance. In this talk, the focus is on understanding new threat models for IoT and solutions that can be employed to overcome the existing security limitations.
