I met Mr Ashish Saxena, the Managing Director of AKS IT Services during our flagship event NTLF in February and an interesting conversation ensued. A few days later, he invited me over to his office and I was privy to some very interesting insights. The government’s stated vision of a 1 trillion digital economy by 2025 is ambitious but achievable, if we get the building blocks right. Of these, the one of cybersecurity is a curious one. Arguably, it is the greatest threat to the avowed vision but at the same time companies like AKS IT Services are doing remarkably well to address the challenges and provide a hot-bed for talent incubation to nurture multi-dimensional expertise in digital technologies (particularly in AI & ML).

Espire Infolabs is a global IT services company which specializes in digital and customer experience transformation. We got an opportunity to speak to Gagan Oberoi, an industry veteran of more than three decades, and he is the Managing Director & CEO of the company. They have been a NASSCOM member for over a decade and Mr Oberoi had many good things to say about the association, particularly in its role in providing support to members.

Jatin Singh is Founder & Managing Director at Skymet Weather Services Pvt Ltd and Founder & Director at Gramcover.Jatin launched Skymet in 2003 with the intention of providing reliable and accessible weather forecasts. Skymet has close to 7500 Automated Weather Stations (AWS), 27 lightning detectors and 200 air quality sensors installed across the country. In addition, Skymet has set up about 400 agricultural sensors that enable farmers to understand their crops at a micro scale and thereby maximize their yield.

Rahul leads all strategic and corporate initiatives globally, leading to the long-term growth, profitability and industry leadership of the organization. He has over 28 years of professional experience and has held several progressively senior and leadership positions.

Abhiraj is responsible for operations and service provider on-boarding at UrbanClap. Started in 2014, by Abhiraj, Varun and Raghav - UrbanClap is a fulfilment-led marketplace for home services. Consumers order services like beauty & spa at home, appliance repairs, plumbers, carpenters, cleaners, home painting etc. through the UrbanClap platform.

Abhiraj was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group,advising Fortune 500 companies across India Germany and South East Asia before he quit to begin his entrepreneurial journey with Urbanclap. Abhiraj holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, where he was on the Dean's list, and an Masters in Business Administration from IIM Ahmedabad, where he was an industrial scholar.

Puneet Agarwal- President, Global Sales at VVDN Technologies is also the founding member of VVDN Technologies, a technology innovation company founded in 2007 which provides broad spectrum of embedded design services and ODM capabilities of Automotive, Industrial, Networking, Wireless, IOT and Cameras. An Engineer by education, he possess a diverse set of Business skills including Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Team Building and Business Development. His passion lies in growing businesses and organizations and developing partnerships across the globe.

As an entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience in hyper-growth environments, he has managed multi-million dollar technology businesses using his skills of Business Leadership, Sales and General Management.

We spoke to Jim Sadler, he is COO of SSP Worldwide. He shared some interesting insights on digital disruption being experienced in the insurance sector. Emerging technologies such as AI can work on data to come up with more suitable premiums.
